excerpts from youtube comments on one of Kozue's Odettamitta's.
"...Kozue's health is not a rumor, it's common knowledge amongst her fans as she's been writing in her blog all these years...you can see the title says '(Kozue) Yeay yeay yeay cover(My leg has healed)' So of course people are gonna be asking about it, and it's also all in her blog for fans to read..."
"...Kozue said it her self, that's why fans keep asking about it today. She never said the name because it (her health condition} is a matter of PRIVACY. She did say she has weak health & had to visit doctors often since kid. She collapsed during DR tour but was fully recovered long ago. Just last week she had to skip a show because she had so much pain in her thigh and was put on doctor's stop from dancing, until now like the title says (my leg is healed)."
"...She explained in her boradcast over and over again to all the conspiracy theory questions like yours, that her departure is due to her health and she still loves DR. They didn't over use her, she does live shows for a JOB...She can't dance for a long time, so she went solo and acted in her own broadway show, TV drama & she still does gigs but only a couple songs at a time..."
"Only thing she's ever said was she was not very healthy and visited hospitals often ever since she was a kid. In March of 2012 she was hospitalized and realized that she couldn't keep up with the schedules of DR so she graduated in August after the tour to pursue her acting career. As for the title of this video (My leg has healed) refers to a few weeks ago she said on her blog her inner thigh was hurting and had to instead become an MC at one of the events that she was supposed to dance at."
It is known that Kozue has a younger brother in which she stated that had gotten her into NicoNico in the first place.
It is also rumored that Kozue's mom appeared at her live but it hasn't been confirmed.
excerpts taken from interview with DANCEROID by Jpopaisa.com.
Jpopaisa (ab): Is there anything or person that has influenced you?
Kozue: The group that prompted me to post a video was an idol group called “Kanzen Maid Sengen” (Total Maid Declaration). I saw their PV on YouTube. Later I saw Hello Project’s PV and that reinvigorated my passion to become an idol (lol). Just when I was about to become an idol otaku I saw 47-san’s video (he was quite famous at the time) and I decided that I would give it a try. I used to go to dance school.
ab: How long have you been into Nico Nico Douga?
Kozue: My little brother showed me and at about the same time I uploaded, so about 3 years.
ab: Did you talk about Nico Nico Douga at school?
Kozue: I first found out about Nico Nico Douga from my school friends. But recently there are a lot of really young kids watching. Some elementary and junior high school kids do their own Nico live broadcasts – it’s scary. Don’t do it kids, you’re too young to be crossing over into this world. But I can understand how they get hooked – it’s a scary world.
DANCEROID - 1st Generation (2009 - 2010)Edit
DANCEROID was formed in 2009 by Ikura, Kozue, and Minka Lee. They started a NicoNicoDouga Community and performed as a trio (and occasionally individual members would upload solo videos) to VOCALOID songs on NicoNicoDouga. They gained popularity so quickly that they released their first DVD [DANCEROID] in December later that year
2nd Generation (2010- 2011) & 3rd Generation (2011 - 2012)Edit
At the end of 2009 Minka Lee graduated from DANCEROID leaving just Kozue and Ikura. Several months passed before they decided to hold auditions. Three new members were added: COCO, Yuzuki, and Maamu. Together they formed the 2nd Generation of DANCEROID and released DANCEROID DVD2, DANCEROID DVD3 and DANCEROID's first Official Soundtrack! In late 2011, COCO graduated from DANCEROID at their first OneManLive. DANCEROID did not hold auditions this time and continued with their four remaining members. Although they did not release another DVD, they had many live performances; including DANCEROID's first nation-wide tour in early 2012 and some performances abroad.
3rd Generation (2013 - Present)Edit
On June 3rd, 2012, Aikawa Kozue announced on her blog that due to health issue she will be graduating from DANCEROID at the end of August at her NicoFarre live. She [Kozue] officially graduated from DANCEROID on September 1, 2012.
